Katie Andrews Smith

The accomplishments and achievements attained by Ms. Katie A. Smith, Esq., in the field of Legal Services, warrants inclusion into The Heritage Registry of Who’s Who.  Phillips & Kitchings offers experienced, results-oriented, personalized counsel and representation in a number of key legal practice areas including personal injury, Social Security Disability, criminal defense and family law. Ms. Smith is the Managing Attorney of the firm and her areas of practice include Personal Injury, Civil Litigation, Corporate/Business Law, and Probate with a heavy emphasis on Family Law. Ms. Smith is an Adjunct Professor in Juvenile Law at Savannah Law School. She previously worked as an Intern for the Georgia Supreme Court Committee on Justice for Children, and the Department of Justice-Federal Bureau of Prisons. Ms. Smith was also a Social Worker for the Department of Family and Children Services.

Ms. Smith received a J.D. from John Marshall Law School, in Atlanta, Georgia, graduating cum laude, and a B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology, from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia, graduating summa cum laude. She was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2009. Ms. Smith was recognized as the John Marshall Law School Outstanding Graduate, was the John Marshall Law School Dean’s Fellow, the John Marshall Law School Journal Articles Editor. She was the Georgia Intra-State Moot Court Competition Semi-Finalist, was on the National Dean’s List, a Georgia State University Faculty Scholar, and received the Honorary Key to Georgia State University in 2004.

Ms. Smith is a member of the Georgia State Bar Association, Member from 2009 to Present, American Bar Association from 2009 to Present, served as President of the Atlantic Judicial Circuit Bar Association from 2012-2014.
