A playground incident involving an 11 year old child found hanging from a cloth rope attached to the "zip line." As a result, the child suffered a severe and debilitating anoxic brain injury. P ... laintiffs brought suit against the property owner and property manager for negligent maintenance of the playground. Plaintiffs settled with the property owner and property manager for $7 million. Plaintiffs also brought claims against the Federal Way Police Department and the firemen and EMTs of South King Fire & Rescue who responded to the hanging incident. South King Fire & Rescue was dismissed from the case as a result of a successful Motion for Summary Judgment.
