Ashley Mackin Brodie

I hired her in 2021. My case has been delayed due to her constantly taking a leave of absence and rescheduling court dates or mediation. She instructed to me to withhold my child from her father and assured me it was OK. I currently have a contempt filed against me from the opposing counsel for doin...g so. She has charged me far in excess of my retainer for contempts and subpoenas, yet the houston judge threw them out and it’s only lengthened my case. I do not recommend this firm. I do not feel like she has actually read my case, but left it to her paralegals to review and it’s created confusion as to what she is actually trying to accomplish. I do not recommend this firm for custody. She is loud but not successful.

I have lost all confidence in the Brodie law firm to be honest, ethical or even practical. Ashley delayed my court dates, created unnecessary legal hurdles and instructed me as a client to behave , in the judges eyes, poorly. I trusted her, even though I felt her advice would only create more problem...s for me. Me and my children seem to only suffer, based of her poor decisions and instructions. Which eventually led to future family disputes and in one event ended in domestic violence with my ex . I leave this review because she did not act in the best interest of me or my children. I have to hire another attorney to fix the mess she left me in. I have felt the need to warn future clients to not only research your potential attorneys, but also review their previous cases and reputation amongst the law community. Ashley Brodie is not a fair or honest attorney and will certainly delay and potentially cost you thousands of dollars in wasted unnecessary legal fees. She lied so much, she lost track of what she said and eventually asked the opposing attorney to settle out of court. That left me with absolutely nothing that I asked for. She is not approachable, very rude and difficult to get in touch with. I will NEVER recommend her or use her again. Previous employees have since validated my concerns for her poor decisions and mental clarity
