D. JAMES (“Jimmy”) JORDAN, Partner

Jimmy was born in Mobile, Alabama and grew up in Warner Robins, Georgia.  Since 1984 he has lived and raised his family in his adopted home town of Milledgeville, Georgia.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 1977 and earned his law degree, with honors, from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 1981. While attending Mercer University, Jimmy was a member of the Law Review and served as editor of the Law Review’s Georgia Survey issue. His law school honors include being inducted into the Brainerd Currie Honor Society, the Law School’s premiere Honor Society. Jimmy was admitted to practice in the State of Georgia in 1981.

 In 2011 he was recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 100 trial lawyers in Georgia.  He is a member of the bars of the United State District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a Champion member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Ocmulgee Circuit Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Middle Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.

Jimmy’s areas of practice with the firm include representing the seriously injured and families of those that have died as a result of automobile collisions, tractor trailer collisions, medical malpractice, and product liability.  In addition, Jimmy serves as City Attorney for the City of Milledgeville and is Trust Counsel for Century Bank and Trust, Milledgeville, Georgia.
