My client was charged with a homicide because his friends, who belonged to a gang, were accused of stealing a bicycle while at a picnic, escalating into a robbery and as a shot was fired from the crowd ... , it hit the victim and killed him. This was a highly publicized case . The trial lasted one month and the jury hung. After the hung jury, my client was offered a better offer and the Judge placed him on probation. His probation was later terminated early.
