You can not "pursue charges." Only the police and prosecutors can. If the police won't pursue, than you are left with civil remedies as noted above.

This is not a legal issue, unless you are asking if it is "legal" for your employer to do this, which it is.

Who would you sue? The remedy for false allegations is to retain a good defense lawyer and fight the charges.
