RIP Jonathan Arehart, this is for you

This review is based only on my personal experience and how I understood what happened in my case with Mr. Stagg. I was going through an incredibly painful situation, and I believed my children would receive therapy right away after I surrendered my parental rights. That understanding was a major rea...son I agreed to something so difficult. When the final order came out, it did not include any therapy for my children. Instead, the order worked more like a protective or restrictive order, which completely cut me off from any contact. This was very different from what I thought would happen, and it left me feeling helpless and devastated. What happened afterward was even more heartbreaking. My son Jonathan passed away, and I didn’t find out until three days later, through social media. No one contacted me directly. As a mother, learning that way was one of the most painful moments of my life. After I found out, I asked for the chance to say goodbye to my son at his funeral. From my experience, my request wasn’t supported, and neither were the requests made on my behalf by Legal Aid or by the police, who tried to help me. Being unable to say even a final goodbye added a level of pain I can’t fully describe. I walked away from this experience feeling unheard and completely shut out during a time when my family needed compassion the most. I’m sharing this because I hope other parents going through something serious will make sure everything is clearly written down and fully understood before making life-changing decisions. This review is simply my honest experience and how it felt to me, and the emotional impact it left on my life
