Jody L. Factor

Mr. Factor served for many years as the primary outside counsel for our company, handling intellectual property matters, general legal issues, and some litigation. His firm was responsible for filing, managing, and prosecuting several key patents. He collected fees well into the seven figures over t...he years he worked with our company. In late 2013, while still collecting significant fees from our company, Mr. Factor informed us of his decision to no longer represent our company because he was entering into business against us a direct competitor. Remarkably, he argued that it was not a conflict of interest because he would not be acting as an attorney for a competitor! Somehow he is able to overlook the fact that what he is doing is worse, specifically leveraging all the knowledge of our business and industry he gained while collecting legal fees to start a company to compete directly with us. Simply, Mr. Factor should be disbarred. We have filed a complaint with the Illinois Bar.
