James Ward Evans

I am an associate at Johnson Marlowe LLP. My practice focuses on construction and business litigation.

I graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2022. While in law school, I served on the Managing Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, completed an externship with the Northeast Georgia Health System, and mediated cases in the Clarke County Magistrate Court. I spent my summers working for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit and small firms in the Athens area, including Johnson Marlowe.

Before law school, I graduated summa cum laude with Highest Honors from the University of Georgia with Bachelors of Arts in History and Political Science. Between undergraduate and law school, I served for two years as a Field Staff Intern for Reformed University Fellowship at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi.

I am originally from the Athens area, and I currently live in Winterville with my wife and daughter. I enjoys hiking and any other excuse to be outdoors, have been an avid Georgia football fan my entire life, and am a deacon at Resurrection Presbyterian Church in Athens.
