Donald Timothy Hunt

Donald Hunt is a distinguished legal mind with a career spanning over four decades in Northeast Georgia. A graduate of the University of Georgia Lumpkin School of Law in 1981, Donnie began his career as an assistant district attorney in Gainesville, making significant strides as the chief assistant before transitioning to the private sector. His practice flourishes, with a focus on litigation, probate, and municipal law. For over 35 years, Donnie has served as the city attorney for Oakwood, and he was the county attorney for Habersham County for over a decade. His unique skills in political matters like land use and zoning showcase his knack for resolving complex issues. Committed to community service, Donnie has been actively involved in local clubs, coached youth sports, and contributed to school sports and band activities. His dedication also extends to Lakewood Baptist Church where he has served as a deacon and taught Sunday School for nearly four decades. Married to Kathy, a retired university professor, Donnie cherishes family time with their children and six grandchildren.
