Heather Suzanne Robinson

Heather Robinson was born in south Georgia and raised in rural north Florida.  She graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University in 1995 with her Bachelor's degree in Social Work.  She also attended graduate school at Florida State, earning her Master's degree in 1998.  After completing her graduate degree, Heather moved to Atlanta where she worked for several years with children and teens involved with the foster care and juvenile justice systems.  She also provided support and counseling to adoptive families and adults facing substance abuse problems and/or mental illness.  During her career in the mental health field, Heather testified in court and before administrative agencies on behalf of her clients.

After several years of working with families, Heather decided to earn her law degree in order to expand her skills for helping people find solutions to their problems. She attended Georgia State University College of Law and graduated in 2005 with her Juris Doctorate degree. While in law school, Heather was a member of the Student Trial Lawyers Association and competed in several national mock trial competitions. She also received recognition for her contribution to a national research project sponsored by the American Bar Association as well as a brief which was filed in the Supreme Court of the United States.

Heather’s legal career has focused primarily on litigation and she has tried cases in state and federal courts. Her passion is helping families in crisis and her history as a counselor has uniquely positioned her to empathize with the challenges her clients face as they navigate difficult changes within their family.  She routinely handles cases throughout the metro Atlanta area.

Heather is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, and Stonewall Bar Association.
