Peter Andrew Havas Jr.

Peter Havas is an attorney who has built his practice around showing up for people when life turns upside down. He studied History at the University of South Alabama, added a minor in General Business, and earned his law degree from Mississippi College in 2001. Peter is proud of representing thousands of clients over the years, especially in cases where families are grieving and the path to recovery is unclear. One outcome that stands out to him is obtaining a $180,000 offer after a client’s death when it appeared there was little or no claim—an example of the persistence he brings to wrongful death matters. He also achieved a six-figure resolution in an Alabama dog bite case against a county, involving what he describes as a discriminatory dog assault on his client. Peter’s childhood took him all over the country, and he attended many schools, experiences that helped shape his perspective and adaptability. He credits his parents as foundational influences and is also guided by his faith, his grandmothers, Coach Bear Bryant, and mentors from sports and school. Peter’s greatest hope is that people protect the environment for future generations. When he’s not working, he enjoys outdoor time, live music, and being with his wife and two daughters. He’d love to take a Mediterranean cruise one day and spends plenty of time with the family’s rescue pets. Licensed in Alabama, Alaska, and Georgia.
