Michael Powers Diorio

Michael brings extensive courtroom experience and a strong personal sense of responsibility to his work as a trial attorney. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human and Organizational Development, he earned his law degree from The Catholic University of America and began building a practice centered on perseverance and principled decision-making. Michael has tried more than 50 cases and believes the hardest cases often require the clearest moral focus. A defining achievement for him was securing a guilty verdict in a child molestation trial where the defense relied heavily on the defendant’s quadriplegia—an outcome that required discipline, resilience, and careful advocacy. Michael stays active in the legal community through the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and included in Best Lawyers in America. Raised in Providence, Rhode Island, with two older brothers, he grew up around sports, the outdoors, and parents who worked in medicine—his father a doctor and his mother a nurse. Michael says his wife has shaped his adult life more than anyone else, and he’s proud to be raising three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys golf, time with his family and their dog Harriet, and he is a parishioner at Christ the King in Atlanta. He hopes to one day learn an instrument and become fluent in Italian. Licensed in Georgia and Tennessee.
