HORRIBLE SITUATION: Took my money and backed out when the funds ran out

I stayed in contact with Chris Vance and was put off many many times, until the money ran out and then she dropped my case. I will NOT EVER recommend her to anyone. She had the documents she needed for nearly a YEAR. She knew that I did not have a ton of money, but took me for what I had. Sad whe...n parents of kids with disabilities get drug around and nothing comes of it then the lawyer takes the money and there is nothing to show for it. Do not use her! The reason her "record" looks "amazing" is that she only represents FOR SURE cases, and uses the other parents to pad her pockets. I can tell by the reviews she has done this before. How disgustingly pitiful!

like nothing ive ever seen

I was frustrated at first because Ms. Vance was not able to take my son's case right away; however, once we got started I realized, not only was it worth the wait, but the wait was because when she works on a case, she gives it 110%. I've never seen anything like it. She is an absolute expert in t...he law and executes her knowledge effectively and with conviction. What is also a bonus is that she has a very pleasant "bedside manner" which is not to be said of all attorneys. Thanks to Ms. Vance's strong advocacy (and the help of invaluable office manager, Craig!), the entire trajectory of my son's life was changed. My son is severely disabled and he will never know what Ms. Vance did for him. But I will never forget it.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
