There is nothing about a "delayed arrest" that will help her win her case. If she can't afford a lawyer why doesn't she apply for a public defender?

You definitely want to hire a lawyer to fight this case. If you get convicted, I don't think you would be allowed to be a licensed security guard....

If you were arrested, then yes. If you were only given a citation, then probably no. Either way you need to get a lawyer.
