Biography
Attorney Heather Valentine knew at the tender age of 14, upon learning how prevalent wrongful convictions and unjust confinement are in our country, that she wanted to be an attorney who would fight for justice. After reaching that goal, she began her life’s work defending individuals facing criminal charges, including felonies, misdemeanors, and D.U.I.
Heather graduated from Mercer University School of Law, where she was awarded the "CALI Excellence for the Future Award" in Criminal Law. As a law student, she interned for both Fulton County and DeKalb County Conflict Defender's Offices representing individuals facing felony charges in Atlanta's superior courts. Heather also served as a Judicial Clerk in the Superior Court of Houston County, where she gained valuable courtroom experience from the perspective of the court and judge.
Prior to hanging her own shingle at the start of 2026, Heather worked with seasoned civil and criminal trial lawyers in private firms, including an Of Counsel position.
