Ted Smith was the attorney on a transaction for a closing on my home. The firm incorrectly wired me too much money that was supposed to go to the mortgage company (late in the day Friday) and the mortgage was not paid off on time. No one was around to pick up the phone and I was stuck rectifying th...e problem myself. When my agent called to tell them that I was unhappy, they told her that I signed a form waiving my rights, and don't work on Saturdays no matter the situation, as well as many other statements that you don't anticipate an attorney making regarding an error that took up time and made me nervous. I spent Saturday on the phone with the mortgage company, and my first day at my new job at the bank sending the money back to the attorney. All I wanted was an apology and instead was met with insults. I would not recommend this attorney for anyone closing a home.
