I write this review with the heaviest of hearts. The child custody, legitimation and paternity battles are HARD! Anene Farrey made this battle even harder. I was constantly sending messages through the portal as directed requesting updates and advise. It took her WEEKS to respond. There was always an... excuse as to why a telephone call couldn’t be scheduled. Why hire a lawyer that you can never reach even when you’re paying them OVER $500 per hour? She was my first choice because her husband sold me a dream. He said, “She’s a shark, she’ll fight HARD for you, the opponents fear her, she is a high profile “celebrity” attorney.” My co-worker and I both hired her and had the same experience. Her receptionist is pleasant but the paralegals Tiffany and Brittany are as slow as Mrs. Farrey. I’m not certain that there really are any “Associates” as they never had any involvement in either of our cases. My outcome was that I lost primary custody of my boys. My ex husband was abusive to both my boys and I but his counsel painted a heavenly picture that we poorly defended against. Most documents were filed at the last minute and inquiries were ignored up until days before each of the multiple hearings. I’m currently working with another attorney to appeal and he agrees that this was “bare minimum” work at “high profile” rates. **Most of these 5 star reviews are friends of Mrs. Farrey and fictitious profiles. Losing your children AND shelling out $30,000 to someone who did the bare minimum is heartbreaking. BEWARE.

I would never recommend this attorney. First the husband gave bad info concerning billing and the outcome of what my case will look like. (Remind you he's not an attorney just a sales peson. His words not mine.) He's a great storyteller. I was screwed with billing even though I had a contract (filed ...complaint). With the stress of a divorce I didn't get any relief from this law firm at all. The owner most definitely has major attitude when asked a simple question. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

Divorce in any situation is extremely difficult for all parties involved. Too often men are looked at as the bad guy in many divorces. It is assumed that we should leave our homes bear the brunt of all financial burdens and responsibilities and we are generally sentence to the guillotine before it is... all said and done. Attorney Farrey made me feel as if from day one she was the silent giant in my corner. Her keen understanding of family law and her infectious positive attitude made me as a male feel comfortable and confident during this trying time. She explained the entire process how the system works dealing with the courts, lawyers, and interaction with the opposing party and she always had answers to any questions I had. Having this statuesque and powerful legal mind in my corner made all the difference. We were able to settle many differences out of court. But let me say had we gone to court I have no doubt that her legal ability and tenacity we would have prevailed in a positive manner for me as her client. Her understanding of all matters financial dealing with financial records, retirement assets, household divisions, Child support calculations, visitations all the way down to the dishes and clothing lacked no answers to my questions. Mrs. Farrey took a keen interest in case and how the terms of this divorce would be a positive outcome for me as a client. During a first time meeting between the opposing parties, it became very apparent that I had the right lawyer. The opposing attorney become verbally combative and at one point while standing she pointed her finger at me out of what appeared to be desperation with the opposing party represented, referring to Mrs. Farrey as a Piranha. That was truly a unique situation because Mrs. Farrey never raised her voice or changed her demeanor, but provided rapier sharp counterpoints while seated causing the other party and attorney to walk out of the mediation. Finally whoever has the opportunity to gain this superb legal counselor FIRST definitely has an advantage. Because of recent historical events dealing with marriage in this great nation, someone in the LBGT Community fortunately or unfortunately, shall have the experience of this legal powerhouse in their corner.

I must rate my experience with this law firm excellent in every way. There were no surprises in the services rendered. Attorney Farrey kept me up to date during the entire process. She is very knowledgeable of her practice and informative. She stopped all harassing calls from the opposing insuran...ce company -- and she cared about me. During such a time when one is dealing with the aftermath and injuries from a car accident, the last thing you'd want to deal with is an insurance call every day or so wanting to quickly settle the case. My advice, call Anene. You'll be glad you did.
