Julia Anne Spitler

Julia Spitler is a skilled and empathetic attorney dedicated to guiding families through the challenges of custody arrangements. Born and raised in metro-Atlanta, Julia earned dual degrees in Anthropology and Political Science from the University of Georgia before attending the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she specialized in children’s law. During law school, she held leadership roles as research editor for the Journal of Law and Education, president of Women in Law, and a member of the Pro Bono Board. She also participated in the prestigious Konduros Leadership Development Program.

Julia gained valuable experience clerking for a family law attorney at Gaffney, Lewis, and Edwards, where she contributed to a legal advocacy training program for Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands. She also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), passionately representing children in state custody. Currently, Julia is Chair of Public Affairs for the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL) and mentors with the Orange Duffle Bag Initiative. Named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2024 and 2025, Julia enjoys exploring Atlanta’s craft breweries, cheering on the Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with loved ones.
