Judith A. Blackwell

With a career that spans private practice, leadership roles, and time on the bench, Judy Blackwell offers clients a level of insight few attorneys can match. She earned her undergraduate degree and law degree with honors from the University of Georgia and began practicing in Albany before moving to Atlanta in 1986. Early in her career, Judy handled workers’ compensation defense, building a strong foundation in how employers and insurers approach claims. She then served as an Administrative Law Judge, presiding over 500+ cases and developing a deep understanding of the legal reasoning that drives decisions in workers’ compensation disputes. In 2000, Judy was named a partner at a prominent Atlanta firm and led its Workers’ Compensation practice group. She later served as Assistant General Counsel for Atlanta Public Schools, where she handled workers’ compensation matters in an education setting. At Hasner Law Injury & Workers’ Compensation Attorneys, Judy now partners with Stephen Hasner to advocate for injured workers, combining her courtroom and judicial experience with a client-first approach focused on fairness, clarity, and results.
