Kimyatta Ebonik McClary

Kimyatta is the Compliance Investigations Counsel in the General Counsel Organization (GCO) at McKesson Corporation, where she oversees McKesson’s Investigations Program across the enterprise and provides strategic counseling on a variety of regulatory and compliance matters. Within the GCO, Kimyatta sits on the Compliance, Regulatory, and Ethics (CRE) team—a centralized team of attorneys and compliance professionals who support the entire family of McKesson businesses. Kimyatta is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC). 

Kimyatta developed her expertise as a healthcare litigation, compliance, and regulatory attorney representing a variety of plans, payors, and provider clients at Alston & Bird LLP, where she practiced prior to joining McKesson. In private practice, she represented clients in the defense of False Claims Act litigation, whistleblower actions, and government investigations related to alleged fraud and abuse violations of federal and state health care laws. She also assisted clients in conducting internal compliance investigations, as well as with developing and implementing effective compliance programs. 

Kimyatta also assisted clients in regulatory due diligence on several mergers and acquisitions, and provided counsel on the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law and mandatory disclosure obligations applicable to healthcare providers and other market participants. She also represented clients in payor-provider disputes, complex commercial litigation, and arbitration.

In addition to Kimyatta's healthcare expertise, she also has significant experience providing counsel on consumer protection issues. 

Kimyatta was named one of The National Black Lawyers - Top 40 under 40 in Georgia in 2015 and 2016. She was also named a 2016 and 2017 "Rising Star" by Georgia Super Lawyers magazine
