Alan Y. Saltzman

Alan Saltzman, Senior Managing Attorney at Montlick Injury Attorneys, brings nearly four decades of experience to both his legal practice and his leadership of the firm’s attorneys. Since joining Montlick in 1987, he has worked alongside founder David Montlick in carrying forward a shared commitment to honesty, respect, integrity, and loyalty to clients.

He is AV Preeminent® rated by Martindale-Hubbell® which is the highest peer rating distinction based on legal ability and ethical standards. Alan was also named a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers in 2018.

He represents clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, nursing home injuries, and other cases involving serious harm.

Before joining Montlick, Alan practiced general law, gaining valuable insight into family law, wills and estates, business law, criminal law, bankruptcy, as well as personal injury law. That range means he doesn’t see an injury in isolation. He understands how a serious accident can affect a client’s finances, family, and future, and he factors all of it into how a case is handled.

Alan leads with the same values that first drew him to Montlick. As the Senior Managing Attorney, he mentors the firm’s lawyers and sets the standards they are held to, working to ensure that every client receives the same quality of representation and personal attention the firm was built on and is famous for. He firmly believes that clients should be treated like family. His goal is that each and every lawyer in the firm deliver the same advice and counsel to their clients as they would their own brother or sister.

Alan was always drawn to personal injury law by a conviction he still teaches: that trial lawyers are the gatekeepers of corporate responsibility. He believes the civil justice system is one of the most powerful forces for public safety we have, holding companies responsible when they cut corners, teaching and urging industries to do better by and through important litigation. He points to the safety advances that legal accountability has helped drive, from seat belts, airbags, and shoulder harnesses to safer vehicle interiors, better drug testing and warnings, and stronger toy-safety standards, as just a few examples of how legal accountability works to help protect the public.

Community service has always been an important part of Alan’s life. He served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter from 2014 through 2020. The Atlanta Children’s Shelter is an award-winning model program for child development and support services for homeless families striving to be self-sufficient. When he is not practicing law or helping out in the community, Alan loves spending time with his wife, four children, and seven grandchildren.
