I represented a woman who had her hours reduced after she came back from her materntiy/pregnancy leave because the employer did not follow the law. The employer brought on an employee to temporarily r ... eplace my client while she was on leave, but then decided to keep the temporary employee working full-time when my client tried to return to work while giving my client only part-time work. The employer's failure to reinstate my client to full-time was a violation of the law. When my client eventually returned to work full-time, they reduced her pay, forcing her to quit. We filed suit and ultimately settled a few days before trial. My client was very satisfied with the outcome.
