I retained this attorney under a limited engagement with a defined retainer and clearly instructed—during our initial meeting and in multiple follow-ups—that no work should continue once the retainer was exhausted. This was acknowledged. Despite this, additional work was performed without my autho...rization, and invoices were issued for those services. I formally disputed these charges and requested written confirmation that no balance was owed; however, no such confirmation was provided and additional invoices continued. I was also informed during a call that the attorney handling my case had left the firm, yet the disputed charges were not addressed. I have retained records of my communications. I recommend ensuring that scope, authorization, and billing expectations are clearly documented in writing when working with this attorney.
