James Anderson Dunlap Jr.

About James A. Dunlap Jr. LLC Born inGainesville, Georgia, Mr. Dunlap graduated Gainesville High SchoolClass of 1980. He completed an economics degree from PrincetonUniversity in 1984 and then he obtained a J.D., cum laude, from theUniversity of Georgia School of Law in 1988. He has practiced law inGeorgia and has been active in community and public affairs ever since.

Mr. Dunlap has engaged in a varied general practice, which hasincluded personal injury and negligence cases. He has representedindividuals, partnerships and companies in a wide range of businessrelated legal matters. His criminal practice has includedrepresentation of persons charged with criminal violations ranging frommisdemeanor traffic offenses through serious felony offenses.

Mr.Dunlap has extensive experience in jury trials of civil and criminalmatters in State and Federal Courts. He is authorized to practice lawin the State and Superior Courts of Georgia, the Georgia Courts ofAppeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for theNorthern District of Georgia and the Eleventh U.S. Circuit Court ofAppeals.

He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the LocalGovernment Section of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Capital CityClub.  He presently serves on the National Finance Committee of theJohn McCain Presidential Campaign.

He is married to Leigh Bennett Dunlap and they live in Atlanta with their son Farrell.
