Tom Willingham was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from the Cumberland School of Law with a J.D. in 1987. Throughout his career he has handled product liability cases that involved defects such as lack of vehicle stability, defective steering system components, defective seat-belt restraints, defective airbags, defective fuel tanks, defective roof structure components, defective brakes, defective door latch components, failure to install electronic stability control, and cases involving a manufacturer’s failure to install rear seat lap shoulder belts.
Tom has experience in almost every identifiable defect against automotive manufacturer nationally and internationally. Some automotive manufactures Tom has litigated against include General Motors, Ford, Daimler Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Suzuki, Daihatsu, Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Kia. His represented clients in State and Federal Courts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. Mr. Willingham is a member of the America Association of Justice, where he serves on the Product Liability Section and is also a Board Member of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group.
