Shauna Tameka Phillips

Tameka Phillips is a partner in the Firm’s commercial litigation practice. She represents businesses across industries in a wide variety of complex disputes including restrictive covenants, commercial temporary restraining orders, complex contract litigation, unfair business practices and business fraud. Ms. Phillips’ acumen for complex commercial and financial issues resulted in her becoming the lead attorney on issues of commercial success in multiple pharmaceutical patent disputes. Ms. Phillips has extensive trial practice and “on your feet” courtroom experience. She also has in depth appellate practice experience in both federal and state courts, including successful arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Separate from her law practice, Ms. Phillips is on the board of directors for Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence, and the editorial board for Women’s Golf Journal.

• Represented large tech company on motions for administrative expenses in high-profile, adversary bankruptcy proceeding involving $1.5 billion of alleged liabilities.
• Represented multi-billion dollar talent-management corporation in arbitration prosecuting breach of non-compete claims.
• Represented leading cancer drug company in multiple Hatch-Waxman lawsuits against generic drug manufacturers in various district courts.
• Represented one of the Southeast’s largest protein renderers in claims for breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of corporate opportunities, and unfair and deceptive trade practices against a former board member and executive.
• Represented national lenders and loan servicers in guaranty enforcement and post-foreclosure litigation and confirmation disputes.
• Represented a national legal services provider in federal appellate practice and putative class actions alleging conspiracy, antitrust violations, deceptive trade, RICO, and state and federal constitutional violations.
• Represented a national legal services provider in putative class action alleging breach of contract and fraud.
• Represented a publicly traded company and individual directors and officers in action alleging fraud and breach of contract, breach of promissory notes, indemnification rights, alter ego liability, and breach of employment agreements.
