Model

I would give Lee 10 stars for her counsel if I could. I received a very quick response from her team when I reached out for a first time consultation to have a modeling agency contract looked over. Lee then reached out to me personally and made time to meet with me the same week via video chat. ... She broke down each section of the contract so I could fully understand the terms and conditions I was agreeing to and gave extremely helpful feedback about parts of the contract that were unclear. She then gave me a list of questions to ask the agency in regards to the contract that I then put into my own words, which she was willing to look over before I sent. The agency actually changed part of the contract because she noted a section that didn't make sense and didn't have my best interest in mind. I have now signed the contract with said modeling agency and am so grateful I had her look it over before I signed. Lee really went above and beyond to help me fully understand the contract and to advocate for myself as an artist. Meeting with her was a professional game changer for me and she will absolutely be my go-to attorney moving forward. Thank you, Lee!

Very thorough and will represent you well!

I'm a composer/lyricist who recently was offered a publishing deal for a musical I had written. Though this is the second time in my career this had happened, it was the first time where I didn't have collaborators on the writing of the project and I needed to negotiate for and protect my own interes...ts in the agreement. I didn't know where to start, and I'm so very thankful that Lee Morin was available to take my case. In the initial consultation Ms. Morin laid out ideas for detailed specific language that would make this contract better for me on every level. She explained every shift in contractual language very clearly and it was very obvious that she cared about protecting my interests and revealing exactly how to make this happen. I then retained her services further to red-line the contract. She did such a good job of it that my publisher now wishes to retain her services for their work as well. I give Ms. Morin my highest recommendation.

Legal Services for Foreign Production

Working with Lee was a great experience. This was my first production, a non-USA production that needed to comply with USA requirements. During the consultation, Lee explained the different type of documents and submissions I needed to deliver. After our consultation, she sent a detailed Term Sheet i...ncluding all the steps, desiderables and costs for the services. During the process, Lee was able to accommodate to our deadlines, something that was very important since we needed some of her input in order to proceed with the post-production. Another thing to highlight is that Lee always gave us her input and opinion in other matters different to the original terms agreed, which was very important for us to have a legal point. For some of the deliverable, 3rd party services were needed. Lee had a list of providers and was able to get great prices. Overall, it was a great experience and will definitely reach out for new projects.

Smart, prompt, and thorough!

I met Lee Morin recently and would recommend her to anyone who needs help reviewing or preparing legal documents, or to understand and develop a legal strategy for your job or business. I'm an Electrical Engineer and recently started my own company to develop electronic products for clients. I rec...eived a seven-page NDA from a potential client that included unusual clauses and obligations. Needing the help of a professional, a friend recommended I see Lee Morin. We first spoke on a Friday and due to the urgency of the situation she kindly fit me into her schedule the following Monday. She has a great website for securely uploading documents. When we met it was clear she had spent the time to get familiar with the contract as well as my notes, questions, and concerns. She spent the full hour clearly explaining the meaning and implications of the contract and ultimately why she had to advise me not to sign it. This included identifying the places where it was overreaching, inconsistent, as well as where it failed to address other common considerations. I plan to have her prepare a Mutual NDA for my business and she will be the first I call for future legal matters.

A great, creative lawyer.

Lee has been an indispensable collaborator in the establishment of our business contracts and trade-marked brand in the animation/motion market. She helped us give form to an abstract idea, was extremely patient and was exceptional in her ability to explain a complex landscape in terms we could unde...rstand. At the abstract stages of our company's development, she helped us focus and prioritize for TM registration. No question was too small or silly. As we formalized our brand and found our focus, she was efficient and direct, helping us draft necessary contracts, etc. I think what makes Lee stand out for us is that she herself is a creative individual and really understands the creative world-view as well as the legal and professional pitfalls of the entertainment industry.
