Ruben J. Cruz

Ruben Cruz, the founder of Cruz & Associates, has dedicated his career to advocating for the injured in Georgia and Arizona. Passionate about serving the injured, he has dedicated his 30-year career to the defense of those hurt at work and in car accidents. He has a broad range of trial and negotiation experience resolving complex disputes involving worker’s compensation, wrongful death, personal injury, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, and premises liability. Ruben is an experienced trial attorney licensed to practice in Georgia, Arizona, and Florida. Ruben has recovered over 500 million in compensation for his clients over his career.

In addition to his active involvement in professional organizations, Ruben is committed to serving the Hispanic immigrant community. As the son of Cuban immigrants, he understands the sacrifices and struggles faced by recent immigrants as they strive to integrate into the workforce, taking on jobs that are often the most dangerous and receiving little or no safety training and equipment to carry them out. Over his 30 years of working with Hispanic immigrants, Ruban has seen much need in the community, which fuels his commitment to giving back through the service and financial support of community organizations in Georgia and Arizona, earning him back to back recognition as one of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia and a Servant Heart Leadership Award in 2020 from the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Understanding first-hand the transformational power of education on immigrant families, in 2013, Ruben founded the Alcanzando Un Sueño Scholarship Program which awards eight deserving high school seniors $3,000 towards their first year of college. To date, the program has helped over 50 first-generation students attend college with more than $100,000 in awards.

Ruben completed his undergraduate education at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he attended on an athletic scholarship. He then went on to simultaneously earn an MBA and Juris Doctorate at Georgia State University where graduated in 1989.

Ruben lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children where he enjoys playing tennis in his spare time.
