Jacob Scott Berry

Jacob S. Berry represents injured workers before the State Board of Workers’ Compensation, bringing both defense-side knowledge and an unwavering commitment to plaintiff representation. With five years of focused workers’ compensation experience, Jacob previously spent 4.5 years in WC insurance defense at Eraclides Gelman before joining Gerber & Elkins approximately 10 months ago to exclusively represent injured workers.

Jacob’s defense background enables him to understand how insurance carriers approach claims and build effective strategies on behalf of his clients. He has presented multiple webinars to adjusters and claims professionals on general workers’ compensation issues, the Panel of Physicians, the WC-240 process, and recent case law developments.

Jacob is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Georgia Bar, and the Lawyer’s Club of Atlanta.

Personal

Jacob was born in Cincinnati and raised in Jackson, Mississippi before moving to Georgia for law school in 2017. He discovered a passion for Georgia and the Atlanta community during his law school tour—a connection that has only deepened over nine years in the state. Like his parents, who both worked in healthcare, Jacob is driven by a commitment to serving others in need. Outside the office, Jacob enjoys traveling, cooking, playing guitar, participating in a dart league, and reading fantasy novels.
