Zain Haq

Zain Haq is a workers’ compensation defense attorney for Swift Currie. He provides representation for employers and insurers in workers’ compensation matters and handles various stages of a claim, including depositions, mediations, settlement and case strategy development.

He also understands that navigating workers’ compensation claims requires a team effort and works toward building close relationships with other attorneys and opposing counsel to resolve claims expeditiously and in a cost-effective manner. Zain is focused on developing well-rounded solutions for his clients by maintaining a holistic perspective when analyzing a claim to achieve results that give his clients an advantage both legally and financially.

Prior to launching his legal career, Zain utilized his knack for entrepreneurship to found a start-up event promotion company that generated six figures in revenue and acquired clients throughout Canada in just two years. He attributes his success to his creative, out-of-the-box sales and marketing tactics, which he now translates to his zealous negotiating skills to push cases in his clients’ favor during depositions and mediations.

Zain moved from Toronto, Ontario to Atlanta to attend Georgia State University College of Law, where he graduated, cum laude. During law school, Zain worked as a prosecutor under Georgia’s Third-Year Practice Act. As a prosecutor, he led a jury trial from start to finish, handling jury selection, opening statements, direct and cross examinations, jury charges and closing arguments. He also led a bench trial, argued an immunity motion and participated in arraignments. Additionally, Zain earned recognition as a semi-finalist at the Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition. These early experiences helped him create a strong foundation for his career in litigation.
