Hurt people hurt people

Ira Gingold founded this practice. I felt at ease speaking with him. He seemed like a wish come true. Ira informed me that he currently works in the background. His daughter Jamie, also an attorney, handles the cases directly. She seemed very nice. I borrowed money to pay Jamie $3,088 on 9/16/2023 fo...r bankruptcy represention. Three days later, she said that she can not help me as she deemed me as not forthcoming. I tried to be as forthcoming as a layperson can be. (Being neurodiverse, I overshare and relentless ask questions.) According to our contract, her uninvestigated assumptions voids the contract and forfeits the $3,088 paid to her, which included $338 court filing fee to use on my behalf. On 9/19/2023, around 10:30 am we spoke on the phone. She used terms like "criminal charges," "felony," "fraud," and the rest is hazy. Such is shock. She said that I should get back to work because she didn't want me to lose my new job. I work in an elementary school as a kindergarten instructor. I am a single mother working full-time to earn a gross salary just above $24,000 / year. As of 9/19/2023, Jamie has not responded to my emails, voice messages, or texts that I have sent. The bank account that holds my paychecks and child support was frozen in preparation for garnishment. With no EBT funds left, I asked strangers in grocery stores to help pay for food. Then for gas. To access my funds and child support paid to me, I filed pro se Chapter 7 to obtain an automatic stay. Filing without counsel essentially guarantees that no attorney will take my case. That is bad. Worse is leaving utilities unpaid and calling spoonfuls of sugar breakfast. More than once, I asked Jamie if she is withdrawing as counsel. No response. I've been ghosted. Bankruptcy is embarrassing. Applying for public assistance is embarrassing. This thing right here is humiliating. I have plans to file a complaint with the bar. $3,088 reported pro se on form 107, line 16 has been found to be interesting. UPDATE: After speaking with her father Ira Gingold, Jamie emailed me to double down on her position.

Peace of Mind

When I finally decided to file for bankruptcy I was nervous and did not know who to choose to represent me. I didn't want to go to one of those law firms with the cheesy commercials, so I went online and chose Gingold & Gingold. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Jamie Gingold was v...ery detailed and let me know of all the options to choose from. She was very kind, and reassured me that everything would be ok. If it weren't for Gingold & Gingold, I wouldn't have the peace of mind that I do now.
