On a beautiful fall morning in late October of 2013, I was a passenger on my friend's Harley-Davidson Street Glide motorcycle and we went down on I-75, in 5 lanes of traffic. We had a guardian angel looking after us in the form of a trucker dude in a snow white rig. He saw we were in trouble and im...mediately got behind us blocking several lanes of traffic from a secondary slam to our vulnerable and broken bodies. He was a first responder and yet there is no record of him on the police report. I remember him telling me I would be okay and that I should just concentrate on getting well and letting my body heal. I took his advice and began the long process of healing from 5 broken ribs, some head trauma and oddly enough, double vision from my eye balls getting temporarily knocked out of their sockets - that sounds worse than it was but scary nonetheless! In April of 2014, I was shocked at the medical bills, the insurance demands and all the things that you face AFTER the accident.
