The real deal when it comes to results

I highly recommend the Rice Law Firm to anyone in need of legal representation. From the very beginning, Rice takes a thorough, thoughtful approach—carefully reviewing your case and setting honest, realistic expectations for possible outcomes. Once he takes on your case, he immediately gets to wor...k. Rice keeps you informed every step of the way with clear, consistent communication, which truly sets him apart from others in the field. The results he delivered for my case were exceptional. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. His dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to his clients consistently lead to successful results. Unlike many other attorneys, Rice’s approach is truly one of a kind. As many have said… “they don't like Rice.”

Corporate Executive

I reach out to Atty. Rice probably (3) weeks before my trial would start, my situation was very serious, His knowledge base as Federal Prosecutor I think made my situation and outcome a lot better. He is very detail and also communicate in terms where a non legal person can understand. He will be... tight and structure for your defense, to the point you think you are his special client, it's the way he communicate and present your situation for your defense. I pray never will have another situation but I would definitely hire Atty. Rice again

One of Atlanta's Best Criminal Defense Attorneys

Richard Rice is one of the best criminal defense lawyers you can find in Georgia. Richard represented me during some of the most difficult years of my life when I faced federal felony charges. He was there for me every step of the way--from the arraignment, discussing our strategy, going over discov...ery and motions, and negotiating with the government. Most impressively, we were able to have the government initially withdraw their original indictment. Ultimately, although I decided not to go to trial, Richard was ready to fight the matter all the way. After much soul searching, I ended up pleading to a single misdemeanor count, resulting only in probation and a relatively low fine, with NO jail time. Richard discusses all your options intelligently, and he works diligently to meet all deadlines and provides transparency about the process, assessment of the risks and potential outcomes. Richard's past tenure as a former Assistant US Attorney was invaluable--the connections he has to speak with the government, the court, and the probation officers are critical to effective representation. But Richard isn't only just an excellent lawyer--he was compassionate and had great empathy, reaching out to comfort me during the agonizing decisions that had to be made. His services are worth EVERY penny, should you ever be so unlucky to undergo the terrible ordeal of criminal prosecution. He has my highest recommendation.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
