About Todd
Biography
Todd E. Barbee is the founder of The Barbee Law Firm. He is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He received his undergraduate degree from New York University where he majored in accounting and minored in journalism. He received his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Atlanta, Georgia. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Georgia and is also admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Georgia and the Northern District Court of Georgia.
While in law school, Mr. Barbee was a member of the school's mock trial team. Mr. Barbee also worked at the DeKalb County Public Defender's Office under the 3L Practice Act. While working as a public defender, Mr. Barbee handled hundreds of cases, including preliminary hearings, probation revocation, and motion hearings. In addition, Mr. Barbee second-chaired several jury trials in both state and superior court, including an acquittal in a trial for Armed Robbery. Mr. Barbee also worked as a law clerk at Franklin and Hubbard, a boutique criminal defense firm located in downtown Atlanta.
Mr. Barbee is active in his community. He has volunteered his time to assist the legal team of Occupy Atlanta. He is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Gate City Bar. He lives in Atlanta with his beautiful wife, lovely daughter, and two adorable rottweilers.

Car accident victim
Mr. Barbee failed to pay my medical expenses after my insurance payout. He took the funds allocated for these expenses and left me to cover said bills. He’s impossible to get on the phone or get a hold of. I do not recommend Mr. Barbee and his services.

Not a good experience
Mr. Barbee came unprepared to court, and had not submitted documents to opposing counsel. Many times he would not respond to me via phone or email - for days, sometimes weeks. I would not recommend Mr. Barbee as an attorney.
