Jessica Claire Nix

Jessica Nix  is an experienced personal injury and criminal defense attorney, having represented clients in cases in Municipal, State and Superior Courts all over the Metro Atlanta area.

Jessica received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While in college, Jessica covered the “cops and courts” beat for a local newspaper and won a Hearst award for her coverage of the exoneration of a death row inmate. Those experiences led her to decide she wanted to directly represent and advocate for those accused of criminal offenses and to pursue a law degree. Jessica graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law where she was an editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. While in law school, she interned at the Southern Center for Human Rights, the Georgia Innocence project and the Western Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s office. She also worked with a professor throughout law school and after graduating in representing a client on habeas corpus matters who had been convicted of murder.

Jessica is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia where she is active on several committees and is a member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. When she isn’t advocating for clients in the courtroom, Jessica enjoys traveling, photography, and live music.
