Unforgivable

My case was a personal injury case. A former friend recommended Alan Connell to represent me after I was hit by a car crossing the street. My insurance agent came to the hospital the day I was hit and gave me a figure based on my insurance alone. Mr. Connell said that she was only a sales person and ...that with the extent of my injuries he could get much more. Mr. Connell did absolutely nothing to get even one $1 more. He and his assistant called me and texted me over and over again asking for me to get medical bills and such even after I signed a release so that the information could be sent directly to their office. In the end, the final figure was exactly what the insurance company offered the day of my injury. Mr. Connell took 30% off the top plus additional incidental fees and my former friend got a referral fee as well. The total deducted from my settlement amounted to nearly $100,000. If I had settled with the insurance company without him, I would have received the total amount offered the day of my injury not the amount less nearly $100,000.

Fake review. I never represented anyone hit by a car crossing the street. This person's own insurance agent would never come to the hospital and make an offer. The at fault person's insurance company would have an adjuster contact an injured person after they left the hospital. My fees aren't 30%. Attorneys are forbidden by the State Bar from paying referral fees to non-lawyers. No wonder it was by "anonymous". Obviously written by someone who is mad because I probably represented their spouse in a divorce.

Divorce Attorney

Through a very lengthly divorce, Alan was a very professional and competent attorney. While the process was difficult and painful, his wisdom and experience were of tremendous benefit to me. He was direct, concise, responsive and open with his thoughts and recommendations. I felt that his fees wer...e fair and reasonable. He helped me through a very difficult process and time in my life. I would use Alan again. He has been an attorney for many years and I would strongly recommend him to anyone in need of professional legal service.

Divorce Case

I was a nervous wreck when it came to the court date but Alan Connell had his ducks in a row and I was totally amazed and impressed with what an awesome job he did. I got everything I asked for thanks to his years experience and determination in standing up for what was right!

Did not live up to reputation

During the first meeting at court we met behind closed doors to sort out a temporary agreement. Allan did not fight for me at all, he agreed to high child support. I spoke up and negotiated it down myself. When I requested the use of one of the family vehicles he cut me off and didn't let me argue my... point. The next step was mediation. We met at the courthouse and Allan had not prepared me at all for negotiation. In the following months I negotiated a settlement and sent it to Allan to prepare and send to the other attorney. Allan charged me four hours to read the document . In the end I did all the negotiating and I paid Allan close to twenty thousand dollars for him to take a few phone calls from the other attorney, read the agreement I prepared and process the property deeds at the courthouse, which he did wrong the first time and billed me again to fix.

This person was obviously not a client of Mr. Connell. He sounds like Mr. Connell may have represented his spouse in divorce proceedings and he is merely trying to "get even" by posting a false review. This happens on many occasions when a person going through a divorce is unable to bully his spouse because that spouse is represented by a competent attorney who refuses to allow his client to be bullied. Mr. Connell is that kind of an attorney.
