Freddie Davis sued former Alamdea County Sheriff's Captain James Ayala and v. Prison Health Services, Inc. on a civil rights theories claiming that she was harassed and retaliated against by Ayala for ... speaking out about the mistreatment that she and experiencing at the hands of a manger at the Alameda County jail in Dublin where Plaintiff worked as a nurse in the Prision Health Services department. Plaintiff also sued Prison Health Services. Plaintiff began working for Prison Health Services at the county jail in 1990. She claimed that she began having trouble at her job beginning in 2006 when she complained that Prison Health Service's director of nursing "demonstrated a pattern of racist and sexist behavior toward her at work." She claimed that Ayala later retaliated by threatening to revoke the nurses' security clearances at the jail. Davis settled with Prison Health Services. The other defendants denied wrongdoing.
