Harold Matthew Horne

With a unique focus on real estate and business law in Georgia, Matt Horne is a Coweta County attorney with valuable and varied legal practice experience.  Having joined Rosenzweig, Jones, Horne & Griffis, P.C. in 2001, Matt is charged with representing clients in a variety of areas including debtor and creditor bankruptcy, wills and estate matters.  His extensive background in all forms of litigation has Matt often in court handling business matters and domestic cases.

As the head of the firm’s well-established real estate department, Matt and his closing team regularly handle residential and commercial real estate closings, representing buyers, sellers, lenders and developers in Newnan, Peachtree City, Carrollton and surrounding communities.

The business law component of Matt’s practice has him helping clients form the right business organizations for their particular needs.  Matt routinely advises clients as to the proper form of business entity--LLC, Corporation, Joint Venture, Partnership, etc.

Bankruptcy representation has always been a significant part of Matt’s practice.  He has successfully handled individual chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases for debtors and creditors and has also proposed successful Chapter 11 reorganization and liquidation plans for businesses and individuals.  Matt has served as counsel for several banks in matters ranging from bankruptcy and foreclosure to matters involving complex banking litigation.

Matt is a lifelong resident of the state of Georgia.  He is a resident of Coweta County, Georgia where he lives with his wife and two children. Matt is a member and past deacon of the Newnan Presbyterian Church, has served on the Parent Council at Elm Street Elementary School, is a graduate of Leadership Coweta, a past officer of the Coweta County Bar Association, a member of the Coweta Board of Realtors and currently serves as on the Board of the Can’t Never Could, Inc.
