Peter Durham of Glover & Davis represented My Rent Source, LLC in a dispute involving my property. They hired him to write a letter that was meant to scare me, I guess. I found his response to be surprisingly ineffective because it never meaningfully addressed the central issue we raised. Instead of... directly confronting the key fact—that a future tenant was provided the means to access my property before the lease began—the letter spent two pages discussing side issues like thermostats, vaping allegations, contractors, insurance, and indemnification provisions. From my perspective, it read more like an attempt to distract from the actual dispute than to address it. Even after all of the contractual citations and legal terminology, I was left with the impression that the core issue had simply been avoided. I expected thoughtful legal analysis and a direct response to the substance of the claim. Instead, I received what felt like an unnecessarily long letter that failed to engage with the central question. Based on my experience, I was not impressed with Mr. Durham's representation or the quality of the legal work product.
