Javonna Smith

Javonna Smith is a native of Saint Louis, Missouri. She attended Texas Southern University, earning a BA in Political Science with a minor concentration in Psychology all while being a top honor scholar in the Thomas F. Freeman Honors College. After receiving her bachelor's degree, Javonna relocated to metro Atlanta to put her degree to use and worked as a Jr. Operations Director on political campaigns.

After receiving a full-ride Dean’s Merit Scholarship, in 2019, Javonna moved to San Francisco to attend Golden Gate University School of Law. While in law school, Javonna took on several leadership roles as an active board member of the Black Law Student Association and Appellate Moot Court Team. Javonna also worked as a state certified student lawyer working pro bono for the Women’s Employment Rights Clinic, serving, and representing low-wage workers against employers, specializing in wage theft, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, family leave and unemployment compensation.

In 2022, Javonna graduated with her Juris Doctorate with a specialization in Public Interest Law. Javonna is admitted to practice in the Magistrate and Superior Courts of Georgia. Since relocating back to Atlanta in 2022, Javonna has dedicated her time to serving the public and has consistently exercised her passion advocating for her clients and ensuring their voices are heard.
