I was recommended by my close friend to reach out to this attorney to handle my personal injury case. He represented my friend years ago and reached a great outcome. Before I reached out to Mr. Johnson, I had already paid for consultations with several other attorneys in the area and I didn’t get a g...ood vibe from them. They didn’t communicate well with me and there was a language barrier between us. I am SO GLAD that I reached out to this attorney. Despite my accent, Mr. Johnson was a tremendous advocate for me, and he reached a great outcome with my personal injury case as well. I recommend Mr. Johnson to everybody I know now because he truly is the best attorney in the area!

I retained this lawyer for a breach of contract case, he told me we would answer discovery and we set a date to do that, but when i called Mr. Johnson to come for the appointment time he never answered the phone. Then i go in hospital and listen at my voicemails when i get out and Derrick leaves a m...essage that he is withdrawing. Then when i put in a dispute with credit card company, this scammer of a attorney makes up a fake invoice that i have never seen to the dispute, and it is closed. leave this guy alone so you do not get ripped off!

Derrick was paid in full and did not do a single thing. Not even a follow up on paper work that I filed myself. He lied to me for 6 months consecutively about a potential out come. Leaving me to call him for any and every update (which weren’t updates only excuses and lies). Finally after contacting ...him again he tells me "The courts will only accept trial due to COVID" which was yet ANOTHER LIE. He requests additional funding for trial even thought he knows like I do he has done nothing deserving of his first full payment.. I decide to move to new representation due to Derricks inadequacy.. my new attorney gets my charge dismissed in two weeks for a fraction of his price. She knocked $4000 off of my price because how effortless my case was to dismiss.. Derrick Johnson is a scammer.

Hired this attorney 3 years ago to help with a property dispute. He kept charging yet nothing got settled. Did not hear from him for two years. Every time we left messages they were never returned. After 3 yrs we get a garnishment letter that he never even received then he charged more money even tho...ugh the case never went to court. We dismissed him and we will settle ourselves with the plaintiffs attorney. What a waste of thousands.
