I hired Mr Burkhalter to represent my son while he was incarcerated and facing serious charges, and he did a wonderful job. Zack did a great job representing me in a legal issue I had and really got the best outcome possible for the situation. He and I both hadhoped for better, and we had a really strong case that I really feel we could have won, but nothing is a certainty. The stakes were very high if I had ben found gui...lty and the prosecution offered a deal that dismissed 3 of 4 charges. Ultimately I decided to take the deal since it wasn’t worth risk of all charges sticking vs agreeing to the plea deal. This was I was able to move on and put this behind me. However Zack has still ready to go to trial and was very prepared and the state saw that and offered the plea deal. The offer shocked Zack and I since the Prosecutor wasn’t willing to offer any type of reasonable deal before. So the integrity Zack has for his clients and the fight that he had ultimate what pushed the state to offer a deal. It wasn’t the outcome we had hope for given the situation but I really appreciate how Zack laid out the possibly outcomes of what could happen in any direction the case took. He wasn’t pushy just gave his advice and reassured that we as behind me and would fight with me in any direction I took but left it up to me to continue to trail or take the deal since I was the one assuming the risk of going to trail. I could tell it really bugged him that we didn’t get a better outcome, but that wasn’t his fault the prosecutor really held me at ransom since he knew how high the stakes were if I was to get a guilty verdict. I was glad to have an lawyer like Zack with me though this process. I had a terrible experience with a lawyer in the past and Zack was 180 degree opposite from him and the was refreshing knowing that I had a knowledge honest lawyer behind me that wasn’t afraid of a fight I would recommend Zack to anyone having the misfortune of having to navigate the legal system to get a favorable outcome for themselves.
