My dad passed away and my step mother is not paying the mortgage. A Sheriff was here to serve me civil papers. Am I responsible?

I agree with Mr. Alder. When your son goes on a bank acct with you, his liablities can attach to that account

You will check Surrendered but that means the mortgage company can foreclose on the house

You may have to come up with the money or allow the trustee to sell the house if you are saying the lien (mortgage)? and fedl exemption are covered...
