Brian M.Gardiner graduated from Clayton State University with a Bachelor’s of Science,Cum Laude, in 2003. Brian then beganworking full-time for the Clayton County District Attorney’s office as a VictimWitness Coordinator, and began law school at the Georgia State UniversityCollege of Law at the same time. Whileattending law school, Brian began working in Employee Relations for the GeorgiaDepartment of Human Resources conducting internal investigations, dealing withemployment law matters, and assisting the Department in AdministrativeHearings. In 2007, Brian graduated witha Juris Doctor from the Georgia State College of Law. While workingfull-time and attending the Georgia State College of Law, Brian was a member ofthe College of Law Moot Court Board, was a Teaching Assistant for Property I& II, received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence (the top student inthe class) in Litigation, and was elected as an Honor Court Justice by hispeers. While in LawSchool, Brian wrote on the following subjects: contributory and secondary trademark liability; the admissibility ofbreathalyzer test results in DUI cases, and a variety of other topics. While working as a Staff Attorney in HenryCounty Superior Court, Brian assisted in drafting and researching opinions on avariety of subjects including the following : the applicability and interpretation of the adoption code, theadmissibility of evidence in criminal traffic stops, vicarious and secondaryliability in tort cases, employer liability in discrimination cases, thecreation and implementation of child support findings and parenting plans indomestic cases, the admissibility of evidence in condemnation cases, and theapplicability and interpretation of the law pertaining to businessdisputes. Since joiningDunlap Gardiner LLP, Brian has focused his practice on representing individualsin domestic relations matters, business litigation, collection matters, and inother general civil litigation. He alsohandles criminal and bankruptcy matters. Brian is admitted to practice law in the Supreme Court of Georgia, theCourt of Appeals of Georgia, the Superior and lower courts in Georgia, and theNorthern and Middle Districts of Georgia. Brian currentlyresides in Locust Grove, Georgia, with his wife Stephanie and is expecting hisfirst child in October of 2009. Brianenjoys golf, tennis, reading, gardening, and spending time with hisfamily. Brian is currently the Treasurerof the Henry County Bar Association, and served as a Mock Trial Coach for theRegional Champion Ola High School Mock Trial Team for the 2007-2008 and2008-2009 school years.
