Biography
My name is Weyman E. Rooks, III and I will enter my 28th year of practicing law in June 2020. I have practiced law in Carrollton, Georgia and the west Georgia area for my entire career and represent clients primarily in Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Troup, Haralson, Polk, Paulding and Douglas County. I handle divorce cases, high asset divorce cases, adoptions, all family law related cases as well as criminal defense, DUI defense, and traffic related cases. I also draft wills and handle business formation and incorporation for my clients as well as property tax appeals. I am also a registered Mediator and Arbitrator and have successfully resolved hundreds of all types of cases through alternative dispute resolution for clients and local attorneys. I am married to Emily M. Rooks, a local physician in the Tanner system, and we have five beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, and live music in what little free time I have away from the office. My family and I are also members of Midway Church and I am and have been a Life Group leader there since 2014.
