Rebecca Kathleen B. Guy

Kathleen Guy helps lead the Commercial Real Estate & Banking Group at Andersen, Tate & Carr. Ms. Guy focuses her practice in the area of commercial real estate transactions (with an emphasis on small business lending and government guaranteed lending, including representing lenders and certified development corporations in U.S. Small Business Administration closings and franchise lending), secured lending and business law. She has significant experience in the acquisition, development, financing and sale of retail and office centers, industrial properties, and residential subdivisions throughout the metropolitan Atlanta area. Ms. Guy also has extensive experience in representing small business owners/operators in lending transactions. Additionally, she represents numerous banks and lending institutions in secured loan transactions. Ms. Guy became a member of the law firm of Andersen, Tate & Carr in 1996 after joining the firm as an associate in 1993.

Ms. Guy received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1990. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate and Finance, cum laude, in 1987, from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Ms. Guy was admitted to the practice of law in the state of Georgia in 1990 and is licensed to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Ms. Guy is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section, Franchise Law Section), the Gwinnett County Bar Association (Real Property Law Section) and the American Bar Association (Real Property Law Section, Franchise Law Section).
