Matt Smith is a part of the Commercial Real Estate and Banking Group of Andersen, Tate & Carr. Mr. Smith focuses his practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, secured lending, zoning and business law, including the acquisition, financing and sale of commercial and residential property throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta area. Mr. Smith also represents numerous banks and lending institutions in secured loan transactions.
Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2002, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law (2000-2001) and later a Notes Editor (2001-2002). Mr. Smith received his undergraduate Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business, with a concentration in Finance, cum laude, in 1997, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business, where he was a member of the fraternity Alpha Tau Omega.
Mr. Smith was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Georgia in 2002. Mr. Smith is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property Law Section).
