Alexis Nicole Skowranek

Lexi Skowranek is an attorney with Meriwether & Tharp, LLC. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Psychology from Georgia College and State University in and earned her Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law, cum laude, in May 2025.

During her undergraduate career, Lexi was honored with the outstanding major in Criminal Justice award, received the Tiffany Bishop scholarship, and maintained the Hope scholarship. She was also actively involved in her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, where she served as Vice President of Academic Excellence and Director of Ritual. She also served two consecutive terms as chapter President for Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society.

Throughout law school, Lexi served as a student attorney with the Habeas Project, representing indigent clients in post-conviction matters and drafting briefs before the Georgia Supreme Court. In Spring 2025, Lexi studied abroad at Oxford University as a Human Rights Scholar, where she focused on international law and human rights protections. She also held student leadership roles including President and Vice President of OUTLaw, Diversity Equity & Inclusion Chair and 2L representative for the Association of Women Law Students, and 3L representative of the Mercer Law Criminal Defense Association.

Outside of the office, Lexi is a proud dachshund mom, an avid reader, and enjoys traveling, attending concerts, spending time with her family, and visiting Disney and Universal Studios.
