Anti male father figure

Wouldn't even hold court orders to be followed. Couldn't even add when awarded 50% and allowed fraud when dealing with 401k division.

During the seldom occasions we have an unhappy client, I always encourage any grievance to be worked out privately and not on social media. In most cases, it is an expectation or misunderstanding that is easily remedied. I tried to do so many times with this client. There was no fraud whatsoever; client was confused by the 50% figure even after it was explained that a portion of the 401k was earned by his wife BEFORE the marriage. Therefore, under Georgia law only the marital portion would be subject to 50/50 division and not the entire balance in the account. Client seemed to understand when shown the figures in open court and had it explained to him, as he then signed off on the settlement. It was explained to him subsequently several times but unfortunately not to his satisfaction. I don't know what "holding court orders to be followed" means other than he did allege contempt on his ex-wife's part and I explained that required the filing of a motion and a hearing, which we offered to do if he wanted to pursue it but he never chose to do so. Client kept asking that we "call the judge" instead and was told that such is an ex parte communication and is unethical and would not be done. Finally, I am baffled if "anti male father figure" is meant to refer to him or me??? I have a husband and son I love dearly, along with a wonderful late father and many male relatives and friends. At least half of my practice is devoted to male clients. "Anti-male" is not a characteristic that is typically attributed to me. In closing, I will say that I handled this matter almost three years ago and I am sorry this former client still has not found peace. May he have better days ahead.

Very happy with her service!

I contacted Stephanie and she and her assistant, Kimmy, were very friendly and professional in the initial consult. After speaking with her and learning of her vast experience, I knew she was the right attorney to handle my child support legal documents. She, or her assistant, were always timely in g...etting back to me and answering "many" questions thoroughly. This was all new to me and she was very patient with helping me to understand the process and easing my mind to feel comfortable with all of it. And when I say patient, she stuck with me over a long period time and helped me to the finish line easily and kindly. There was never any pressure, which I appreciate very much! She is reasonably and competitively priced for what she does and if you have any needs in here arena of practice, don't hesitate to seek out her assistance with your situation..you will be very happy you did! As I am! And so thankful to finally have this taken care of. I know I'm in good hands.

Stephanie Salb Recommendation

I filed for divorce from my husband in April 2014 and the divorce was final August 2014. That may seem like a long time to someone who hasn't taken the step of filing for divorce, but that is actually a very quick resolution. I found Stephanie's fees to be a little lower or comparable to other atto...rney's hourly fees. Most people pay for the attorney to handle everything (copies, etc.) and incur hefty attorney fees. There are ways to cut financial costs though if you are willing to do some of the legwork. I did a lot of my own administrative work. I went to Office Max and made copies of documentation needed and submitted it to Stephanie to save money. I also scanned documents that she needed from me in order to save money. Stephanie worked with me and never overcharged me or added hidden costs to my attorney fees. Stephanie is assertive and is not intimidated by other high powered attorneys. Stephanie is great in a mediation setting and selects great mediators based on the particular case she is handling. She asked for what was fair in my case. I was not greedy or vengeful. I just wanted what was equitable and fair from my 25 year marriage. I came out far better than I imagined I would with Stephanie's help. Through the process, I realized that even if I did not hear from her for a few days, she was still working behind the scenes on my behalf. Her paralegal kept me informed throughout the process as well. Working with Stephanie's team was a pleasure. I would recommend her highly to anyone trying to navigate the pain of divorce.

Grateful

I have been a stay-at-home mom and military wife throughout the duration of my five year marriage. I sacrificed my personal financial security in order to serve the needs of our family. When my husband and I separated I felt very scared and alone. I reached out to our counties' local legal aid off...ice for help and was accepted as a client by Stephanie Salb. She and her staff have been wonderful, instilling confidence and peace of mind throughout the process of divorce. It takes a special person indeed to help others and I shall never forget her kindness.

No need to look for a better lawyer!

Legal matters with children involved can be a very sensitive matter. BEFORE hiring Stephanie Salb, I had retained an attorney that only had a paycheck on his mind. He misfiled my paperwork and held me up in court for an extremely long time. When I met Stephanie, she had to build a case with me fro...m scratch as well as clean up a previous mess. She did so with a great passion for not only me but most importantly my child! She is extremely knowledgeable of family law and is an advocate for what's best for children. I cannot write a review without acknowledging Andrea, who assists Stephanie Salb. She has patience and great knowledge also. She is always there to help and I have always received an answer to my questions in a timely fashion. I was updated often on my case and I never had to worry about whether things were being taken care of. They honestly are a dynamic duo. Thank you for everything!

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Stephanie and I worked together on a very complex contempt case that involved business and banking issues. I found Stephanie to be a very competent and diligent attorney. She is a great communicator and always responds to e-mails, motions, phone calls, etc. in a timely fashion. We had a very nasty opposing counsel who started making personal attacks against us near the end of the case. Stephanie never let him get to her and always responded to his remarks with class and professionalism. We ended up winning the case and saving our client a LOT of money. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Stephanie and will definitely send her referrals in the future. I'm just looking for the next case we can try together because it was such a great experience!"

In each case, Stephanie was thoroughly prepared, knowledgeable, and professional. In the legal field, the highest compliment we can pay to another attorney is to trust them with referrals.
